Equipment

  • Oven
  • Cutting Board
  • Cookie Cutter
  • Cutting Knife
  • Parchment Paper
  • large baking pan
  • spoon to spread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of your favorite pizza sauce I like adding Alfredo garlic sauce as the base although it is more common to see marinara sauce. There is no right or wrong.
  • Your favorite toppings!
  • 2 Cups of Mozarella Cheese
  • 2 Pack of Mini Pie Crust

Instructions

  • The first step is to prepare all of the ingredients and pre-heat the oven! You will need your oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit to properly bake the pizza pie.
  • Once that is complete, prepare the pie crusts. You can do this by cutting the pie crusts in half. When you cut them in half, you have the ability to use the top as a 'baked topping'. It will look more like a personal pizza and you can make twice as many pizza pies with this technique.
  • During the third step, you can pre-bake the pie crusts so that they don't get soggy. The hard part about making DIY pizza from home is that the pie can overload on moisture because of the tomato sauce and other ingredients. When this happens, the crust falls apart and it can make a huge mess in your kitchen!
  • Before you add any toppings or flavors, pre-bake the pie crusts for a minimum of 5-15 minutes. Make sure that the pie crusts turn a light golden color before taking them out.
  • The last and final step in this refrigerated pie crust pizza recipe is to add the desired toppings. Not everyone uses tomato sauce, you can also substitute for Alfredo sauce or any other base. On the base, you can stuff the delicious pizza pie with different ingredients like meats, vegetables, and cheeses.

Notes

  • Since this delicious Refrigerated Pie Crust Pizza Recipe is simple, it is unlikely that you will need any tips or tricks, but I still have some for you! Need a crispier pizza pie? I recommend using aluminum foil to wrap and cover the top of the pie. This traps heat in, but will also protect the cheese from burning.
  • I also recommend finding different pizza pie recipes to try! Instead of simply using tomato sauce, why not make your own buttery garlic sauce as a base for the pizza? The best part about making this refrigerated pie crust pizza recipe is how versatile it is. You can make any changes you would like to fit you and your needs.
