Equipment

  • Measuring Utensils
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Plate/Cutting Board
  • Small Saucepan
  • Basting Brush
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 3 Salmon Filets About 6 Ounces Each
  • Salt To Taste
  • Pepper To Taste
  • 1 Teaspoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 3 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup Or Honey

Instructions

  • Before getting started preparing the salmon and glaze, first preheat the oven to 425 F. Allowing the oven to preheat while preparing the other ingredients helps save time that would otherwise be spent waiting for the oven to heat up.
  • On a plate or cutting board, season the salmon with salt and pepper to personal preference.
  • To prepare the baking sheet for the salmon filets, line it with parchment paper.
  • Place the salmon filets on the parchment-lined cooking sheet. Set in the oven to bake for 12-14 minutes.
  • While the salmon is cooking in the oven, it’s time to make the glaze. Set the small saucepan on a burner, raising the heat to medium. Add the rice vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, dijon mustard, and maple syrup to the saucepan. Whisk to combine in the saucepan. Allow the glaze to come to a boil, stir once more, and remove from heat.
  • The salmon should now be cooked. Remove from the oven.
  • Switch the oven to broil for the upcoming steps.
  • Use the basting brush to glaze the salmon. Make sure to flip the salmon to get both sides.
  • Set the salmon, on the baking sheet, back in the oven to broil for 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve hot or warm with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Foil can be used to line the baking sheet. If using a baking sheet, make sure to use cooking spray to grease the foil.
  • A popular side pairing with cooked salmon is steamed broccoli. Other recommended options include roasted asparagus or other cooked veggies for the ultimate nutritious meal!
